Afropop star Davido claim that he succeded conneccting his father with world bank boss when he got a world cup stage on performance

Davido said he was able to tie his rich father to Malpass during a brief meeting during the 2022 World Cup in Qatar.
"The Fall" singer explained in an interview with the famous American journalist Big Boi that his father had been trying to meet with the president of the World Bank for a while, but he was not lucky enough to make it happen.


Saying that he met Malpass at his hotel after the closing ceremony of the World Cup, the artist praised financial analyst Davido for his performance that surprised many.

Immediately after greeting and Malpass introduced himself, he called his father and said he had spoken to the head of Global Finance.

When he said this, his father told him to call Malpass and that's how they connected.

Davido said; “My father has many high-level friends and he tried to find the president of the World Bank. He saw me at the hotel and said, 'Davido, I liked your performance, I'm the president of the World Bank.' I said

His performance at the closing ceremony of the world festival last December made his first public appearance since leaving the camera more than a month after the immediate death of his son, Ifeanyi. His son died a few days before the event. He canceled all events planned for November and December
